This was on my grandparents wedding cake, June 10, 1939. It is almost 71 years old. They look pretty good for that age! When I was younger I wanted a wedding cake with this topper on it. I never had the big dress, big wedding fantasy just this topper on a cake. When Alan and I were married last March it never occurred to me to have a cake. We had a VERY small wedding...just two witnesses. I guess I thought if I wasn't having a big wedding we didn't need a cake. Now I wish I had.... I am joining Mosaic Monday at Little Red House. ReplyDeleteHappy Monday..Luna
Such an adorable sentimental cake topper. I can't remember the last time I was at a wedding when they had such a cute topper or a topper for that matter. Seems it is all cupcakes lately or else flowers on the cake.

I think you should have a first anniversary party and have a wedding cake. It's not to late to reap the benefits!
ReplyDeleteWhat a treasure your grandparents' cake topper is! I think I'd incorporate it into my Christmas decorations to enjoy every year...
